Special Days to help raise money for those that need a little help.
I regularly attend Special events organised to help those in need. One organised by Freedom Riders Australia was a Mad Max ride to raise money for Father Bob. People came from around the world to be a part of it.
We had cars from all over Australia be a part of this spectacle. There were original vehicles and actors from the movie series as well as cars built to movie specs. We even had people acting out scenes from the various movies.
About Philip Wood Photography
The story so far…….
I love to take my camera everywhere I go and if I see something I like, I take a photo. I don’t specialise in one particular genre of photography because I think that if it looks good, take a photo and share it with the world. I also love to find different angles and views of things to photograph and then look for another way to see at it.
I started out with my fathers Praktica Nova 1 film camera and still use it today to have some fun. For my everyday shooting I have taken to Nikon’s digital workhorses in the D300, D700 and my first digital, Nikon D7000.
I have lived in every state of Australia and now call Melbourne home. The lifestyle and the entertainment never seem to stop and the architecture in and around the city are a feast for the eyes. There is streetart around every corner with some famous works by some unbelievably talented artists.
I always have my camera with me when travelling the world to capture the amazing people and things you see in other countries. I try to capture the history, people and architecture of places I visit and use my photos to tell a story.
I am always trying new things to improve my photography and constantly learning new techniques to get a better shot.
My aim is to be able to put a smile on someone’s face every day.
